Something bright, simple, and pretty. Because today is not.

So far I’m happy with my attempt/resolution to not shoot lame-O senior portraits this year.
Early July, early morning walk, and my Esme who takes a deep breath and says “Ahhh…nice day today”, picks only purple flowers, and thinks a Christmas tree in the summertime is just totally silly but worth checking out.
Swaying in the southern breeze.

Summer tradition. One that my husband wrote about here.
Perfect evening for a backyard picnic and our very first bottle of dandelion wine. Good thing we ordered 6 bottles…I think I like it.
I’m definitely not a summer girl, but it has its moments.
All that’s left of my strawberry-picking lunch yesterday.

(My husband found a place in North Dakota that makes and ships dandelion wine, so we’re waiting for the first hot day to sit in the yard and see what in the world ”summer caught and stoppered” tastes like.)
