Sparkler slow dance.
My good friend’s backyard, truly handmade wedding, and tons of yummy film for the capturing: http://lindseyocker.com/2012/09/kris-and-amys-wedding/
Oh, and I just opened up comments on my website and would love if you would take a moment and leave a few words. I won’t ask again. Promise.
Beautiful redhead, vintage dress, lush wooded backdrop. I nearly died.
In her mother’s wedding dress.
When I photograph a newborn I want to capture the moments that I wish I could remember more clearly from my first days and weeks with Esme. I don’t have any regrets for not having pictures of her with a giant pink bow on her back, or snuggled into some strange, womb-like knit stocking, or any of these other bizarre ‘newborn photography props’ that I see. I wish I had images to remind me how small she was in our arms and how quiet our time together was.
So, a few days ago I spent a quiet morning with an old friend and her baby boy to try to capture just that for her. These are a few of my favorite images.

And her first baby, Cole. :)
Please remind me to never, ever try to casually put together a collection of favorite images from an entire year. I overthought it, underthought it, trashed the idea completely, then finally just picked a few from each month. I might have gone through that cycle twice, actually.
I want to shoot all engagement sessions in a vineyard now. So romantic and beautiful.

It seems like, for each wedding, there’s one image that I fall in love with. The funny thing is it’s usually a shot that was completely unplanned. I’m not going to read into what that says about me as a photographer.
More details…I can’t help myself. Love the details.
This dress was amazing!
Last weekend’s wedding: totally lovely.
